Every Smile Counts

Hello fantastic people!

God is good. God is kind.

This week in the VC we have given a lot of good tours. We had members here all the way from Utah, a girl from France and lots of people who didn't know anything about the church. I love giving tours. We have also been pretty busy in the teaching center upstairs. I have some incredible people progressing and I finally think I've got the hang of things online. We are teaching a family! I love them to death and it brings me more joy that I am blessed to be the one to help teach them.

This mommy loves this lady for sending me this." ~Martha

Big news!!! I am in a trio and the trio life is something. I kind of really like it actually, it different and new. We had a sister transferred here from Hong Kong after being in isolation. All the missionaries from that area have been reassigned to their home country. Sister Howells is quite talented at making others laugh and has a true love for teaching the gospel. She is from Wales, was homeschooled and is 1 on 14 children!!! I know right? And I thought I would never get a companion like myself. She has become my new best friend. She is adjusting to the new mission slowly but is so strong through it all. Both my companions have taught me to have joy no matter what and to have faith and trust in God's plan and direction for us as missionaries.

Obedience is power. I absolutely loved our mission conference this last Saturday! The feeling when we gather together as missionaries is incredible. There's an undeniable difference when the chapel is full of set-apart servants of God. In the short time I've been here I found that when I am exactly obedient it really does bring miracles and I am happier. I have found more joy in my day and I'm grateful for Jesus the Christ and how much I've learned about the Saviors character.

A nod or a smile goes a long way. Here in London missionaries are not always everyone's favorite people, sometimes but not always. While we were one the tube I noticed that one of the passengers wasn't having the best day.  I smiled at her and complimented her on her beautiful hair which led to where she was going and so on. I found out that her mom had just passed and she didn't know where her mom was or if she would ever see her again. I was able to share Heavenly Fathers plan for us here in life and that the center of that plan is our Savior Jesus Christ. He provided a way for her to see her mother again and live forever with her family in heaven. I bore my testimony of the love that He has for her and that He wanted her to come to Him. With tears in her eyes she asked me to tell her more.

In Come Follow Me this week we studied 2 Nephi 26:25 which reads:
"Behold, doth he cry unto any, saying: Depart from me? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; but he saith: Come unto me all ye ends of the earth, buy milk and honey, without money and without price."

I know our Savior, Jesus Christ is calling to you with arms open wide. He understands the depths of your feelings. He forgives and remembers no more. He is entreating you to follow Him and partake of the incredibly wonderful gift of His Atonement He has given to us without cost. He gives His love freely and it is unending and infinite.

Our Heavenly Father has given us this wonderful gospel, His good news and glad tidings of great joy. He loves us so much "He gave His only begotten son" so that we could have eternal life with our families forever.

Invitation:
I would like to invite you to share how the Gospel of Jesus Christ has helped you with a family member or friend you feel could use some good news.

All my love,
Sister Levie

P.S. My mom sent me with a dehydrated start. I made my first two loaves of sourdough pretty successfully. I'm so, so, so happy to finally have good bread!
