June 15th 2020 Week 23: English Delicacies and American Disasters "Top of the mornin to ya!" "Jolly good day to ya" and "You alright?" all this you see I hope you all are well and are enjoying your summer so far.  We are still, as of June 15th, under "lock and key" oops sorry lock down. Some shops and some of the bigger stores are opening up and people are now meeting each other in parks and things!! Things are getting better, slowly.  Not much has changed for us missionaries though. We are getting really good at online teaching, let me tell ya.  Wednesday we taught a fabulous Family History 101 class! We had over 30 people attend, 6 of which came from our new Facebook group, Family History in London!!! WOW. May 25th 2020 Week 20: Transfers & Training Hey y'all Hope everyone has had a great couple weeks. Life here in London is pretty much the same... except we have transfers this week!!! Wow, time goes by so fast when you are hard at work, having fun and helping others.  Ok, so transfers. Sadly Sister Li, my comp from China, is leaving! We have had so much fun together and I could never thank her enough for how much she has taught me and how patient she is with me. I will miss her but i know she will do so well and bless the lives up in northern London.  I haven't met my new comp yet, her name is Sister Klineart. She is from Germany and loves to cook so that's exciting! May 4th 2020 Week 17: Rainbows & Prayers Hello family This week I hit 4 months on the mission! Wow!  In some ways I feel like it's been a life time and in others ways has flown by. I think I've learned more about the gospel these past 4 months than I have throughout my entire life. It's been crazy and I've loved every second! We had some really incredible lessons this week, hearts being softened and allowing the savior to enter. It is such a privilege to share the message of the atonement and then to watch it work in people's lives. There is nothing more powerful or meaningful and I am so grateful that I get to be out here sharing the love! April 27th 2020 Week 16: "I bless the rains down in Africa" Hey Fabulous People This week has been so busy! We are teaching more lessons than ever in our area and at the visitor center on our online accounts. We get requests for Bible studies, missionary lessons and copies of the Book of Mormon which has been AWESOME.  Also, as online missionaries we got in touch with the mission president in Liberia who doesn't have any missionaries now because of the COVID. We asked him if we could help him in any way and so now we are teaching 4 wonderful people over the phone!  They don't have access to the internet or the technology needed so they go to the bishop's house for the lessons. They are the most genuine people I have ever met and truly desire to know God.  We've been teaching a family from Africa who are ready to get baptized, and we are helping them get to know the ward. April 20th 2020 Week 15: Seeing London from a different view Dear Readers, Hey everyone! Hope y’all are keeping yourselves busy in isolation. All the way over here in London we are working hard using our phones, WhatsApp, Facebook, Zoom calls, Preach My Gospel AND the Holy Ghost. It's amazing the doors that open up for missionary opportunities. We have seen so many miracles and tender mercies. On Friday we got this message "Are you missionaries? I've recently felt that I need to learn more about your church. I had a death in the family and now know that God is real. Can you tell me more?" Life is crazy sometimes and we have a Heavenly Father who knows that. He gave us the gospel, the plan of salvation and happiness and hope.  Jesus Christ knows us. He knows the mistakes that we will most likely make, our every imperfection and still he loves us perfectly. April 13th 2020 Week 14: Happy Easter Happy Easter Everyone  We had the most incredible week! We got to teach and share about Conference online with "our friends". Missionaries now refer those that are investigating the church as Friends, which I love! Because they ARE our friends coming to learn and share in the happiness the gospel brings.  We had a really wonderful lesson with Adama and Michelle this week. We taught them the song “I Love to See the Temple”. We talked about the blessing of being sealed as a family for time and ALL eternity. I will never forget the light and tears in their eyes and the smiles on their faces. They want more than anything to sealed in temple. I am so honored and grateful to be a missionary and share these wonderful things with others.
