Week 20: Transfers & Training
Hope everyone has had a great couple weeks. Life here in London is pretty much the same... except we have transfers this week!!! Wow, time goes by so fast when you are hard at work, having fun and helping others.
Ok, so transfers. Sadly Sister Li, my comp from China, is leaving! We have had so much fun together and I could never thank her enough for how much she has taught me and how patient she is with me. I will miss her but i know she will do so well and bless the lives up in northern London.
I haven't met my new comp yet, her name is Sister Klineart. She is from Germany and loves to cook so that's exciting! I hope she likes sourdough ; )
I will be the senior comp and follow up trainer so everyone pray for me as we both strive to do our best to serve the people in Hyde Park.
This week we taught 3 new people in our area, all from different parts of the world.
Elvis from Africa, Leon from Scotland and a Londoner that goes by the name of Travis. All of them are eager to learn more about the Book of Mormon. One in particular taught me a principal. As we were teaching Leon about the restoration he pointed out that it just made so much sense that we needed a restoration!! He said he could feel the spirit teaching him and I can say I felt it too.
In 3 Nephi 18:20 Jesus Christ tells us
"And whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is right, believing that ye shall receive, behold it shall be given unto you."
We had been praying to be led to someone who was prepared for the gospel.
Sometimes we need to get down on our knees and ask. If you do I truly believe that you will receive. But ask in faith and humility with all pride aside. It works the same with gaining witness of the truth. In Ether 12:6 he teaches us that we will gain our witness after the trial of our faith.
This week I know that Heavenly Father loves us! We are not alone in our efforts. He's there every step of the way.
Below are pictures of our friends in Liberia. I wanted to give you an update. They have had a very hard time finding food for their families (Corona has made their economy even worse than it was already), someone in America sent money and their whole village was able to have food for a month. Aren't they a beautiful people. God watches over his people.
We have started baking 10 loaves of bread at once, it is so fun. The gospel of Jesus Christ is true to save. Let Him save you.
Love from London,
Sister Levie
P.S. I know that I am supposed to be here in London right here and now. It's where I'm supposed to be.
