Week 23: English Delicacies and American Disasters

"Top of the mornin to ya!" "Jolly good day to ya" and "You alright?"
all this you see I hope you all are well and are enjoying your summer so far.
We are still, as of June 15th, under "lock and key" oops sorry lock down. Some shops and some of the bigger stores are opening up and people are now meeting each other in parks and things!! Things are getting better, slowly.  Not much has changed for us missionaries though. We are getting really good at online teaching, let me tell ya.

Wednesday we taught a fabulous Family History 101 class! We had over 30 people attend, 6 of which came from our new Facebook group, Family History in London!!! WOW. So many blessings.  It was incredible to share the importance of family history with so many people.

We talked a lot about memories. Sister Kleinert shared about her great grandfather who lived from both world wars and I was able to share about our pioneer history! It didn't occur to me before but we are living through the history of corona and our story, our experience is important. Think about it, all of the next generations will want to know what it was like!!!

While researching for our family history class I found a story about Don Smith when he suffered a serious fracture of the left leg when run over by a truck. He had faith that he would recover and fulfill a mission, He then went on to serve a full time mission in Argentina. The things that our ancestors did to move the cause of missionary work are very inspiring.

Is amazing to think that we can do missionary work by recording our experiences. How have your priorities changed?? what have you learned??
It's easy peasy.
Just get on to Family search
click the memories button
then click add new.
And wala! You have shared a memory. These can be memories from now and memories of times like your favorite day with your grandma, aunt or close relative.

This week We decided to try some English delicacies. Black Pudding was very interesting. It kinda tastes like stuffing and sausage.

Love to all of you.

Adventures of the week:

Picture #1 Sister Kleinert got a package week!! A whole box filled with every gummi candy you can imagine. Except, of course, they don't call them candy here they call them "sweets"

Picture #2 Picture of my grandfather, Don Hyrum Smith.
