Week 61: Keep Your Family's Story Alive

Week 61


Hello everyone! Sister Levie here and I am here in Northern London with my amazing companion Sister Ahumada from Spain. We have had many adventures together (see pictures below). But her testimony is my favorite thing about her.

This week we found out that despite the continued lockdown Sister Ahumada has the opportunity to go through the temple and get her endowment!  Not only that but we have seen many little miracles.  

Why I Believe:
Each month our mission puts on a "Why I Believe" devotional where people that have recently joined the church share why they believe. This month was special, after an amazing week of Rootstech and family history work we were inspired to have a "Why I Believe-devine roots" where we as missionaries share stories of faith from our ancestors! These stories are so inspiring, with pictures and literal voice notes from the past. You are ALL invited to watch it! 


I plan to share to include a story of one of my direct ancestors on my facebook page, beautifully shared by my grandfather Lemuel Harsh. There is so much that I have learned from the past and as I think about how many members came from England it makes me remember the power of the past. Even in my school studies 

For all those who have sent me a friend request on facebook, I would love to accept but in our mission we are only friends on facebook with immediate family and people in our area. Thank you so much for your love and support!

May 4th 2020 Week 17: Rainbows & Prayers Hello family This week I hit 4 months on the mission! Wow!  In some ways I feel like it's been a life time and in others ways has flown by. I think I've learned more about the gospel these past 4 months than I have throughout my entire life. It's been crazy and I've loved every second! We had some really incredible lessons this week, hearts being softened and allowing the savior to enter. It is such a privilege to share the message of the atonement and then to watch it work in people's lives. Week 34: "Come again??" and Spiritual Gifts

August 31st Week 34: "Come again??" and Spiritual Gifts   Well Hello Family!  Transfers!! We will get to the transfer calls later. This week we had our FIRST Sunday service at the chapel! Have you started? It was so nice to meet some of the members face to face and bring some of our friends that we are teaching. It's so crazy to think that 30 people is referred to as a big crowd. Haha, yeah... we don't get out much ; ) Speaking of, online work has been fantastic! We just invited our friend Rodgers from Uganda to be baptised and he said YES!! Then he said "I was wondering when you were going to ask me, what took you so long?" It's amazing how people come alive when they hear the gospel, it makes such a big difference in people's lives. Funny fact. When the connection is really bad in Africa and we can't hear them very well, all we hear from the phone is "Come again". They also say please after everything. Week 75: Hello From London

June 14th 2021 Week 75 Hello from London England Since I last wrote I have had two companions, Sister Milone from France, and now I have been transferred to a new area and my companion is Sister Rodriguez from Spain. I am back in Hyde Park and I love it. In the last few weeks we’ve been able to see many of the sights of London: the Natural History Museum, Piccadilly Square, Big Ben, China Town, and The London Eye. Although we enjoyed ourselves, the greatest highlight of the last little bit has been being able to street contact again! As a mission, after being in lock down for 16 months, we can now contact people on the street. We call it “Hiya time” where we just say hello to people, we ask them questions about their day and hold our books of mormon. This disarms most Londoners because they don’t typically say hello to strangers.  One day we had prayed specifically to find one person who needed God that day. We had half an hour and as we made our way up to Hyde park we found a man name
