To Stay, Or To Go, That Is The Question!

Image
Dearest Family and Friends Life in London has been a little quiet the last couple days. The streets are empty. Hardly a person in sight. I know you are all wondering if I am getting sent home. Right now Europe is the last to evacuate and the UK last of all because we have the least danger. So, it's just a waiting game, do we stay or do we get transferred?  We are in isolation and have been for almost a week now but as VC sisters we are a little bit of an exception to the isolation rule. We are in the Visitors Center 3 days a week teaching on the computers and the rest of the week we are stuck in our flats. We are good to go out of our flats to exercise everyday which is soooooo nice. I'm reading Jesus The Christ and it is incredible! I would highly recommend reading it to better understand the importance of The atonement of Jesus Christ.  I am also studying Either and I'm blown away by the faith of the brother of Jared.   Missionary work is different now but no

Every Smile Counts

Hello fantastic people!  God is good. God is kind.  This week in the VC we have given a lot of good tours. We had members here all the way from Utah, a girl from France and lots of people who didn't know anything about the church. I love giving tours. We have also been pretty busy in the teaching center upstairs. I have some incredible people progressing and I finally think I've got the hang of things online. We are teaching a family! I love them to death and it brings me more joy that I am blessed to be the one to help teach them.  "This sweet lady texted me this picture from their London vacation.  This mommy loves this lady for sending me this." ~Martha Big news!!! I am in a trio and the trio life is something. I kind of really like it actually, it different and new.  We had a sister transferred here from Hong Kong after being in isolation. All the missionaries from that area have been reassigned to their home country.  Sister Howells is quite

Dear family and friends:) Wow! This week has been quite the week for us here in London. It's cold, and that is pretty much the only thing that is similar to UT. There are amazing people here! There are also just straight up crazy people here. 😄 I love being a missionary, it is better than I could have ever hoped and harder than I imagined it to be. First week out my bag was stolen, we got locked out of our flat (it's flat here not apartment) and got stranded in green park... not exactly how I thought I would start my mission off but it was an adventure and will make some good stories. My comp is from New Zealand originally but her family now lives in Australia. She is Tongan, number 5 of 11 kids, loves to laugh and has the kindest most selfless hearts I have ever known. We are teaching Alice, she is planning to be baptized next month! Rachel, who is the sweetest person, had really good questions but recently had someone give her anti Mormon stuff:/ Now she has backed off a

They Call Me Sister Scooter

Hello my wonderful people!!  First, before I begin, I want to say thank you for the way you live your life. Whether you are family, friends, secret besties, mentors or role models you are all people that I love and respect. You set an amazing example and have a love and light about you. Today is my first P-Day as a Visitors Center missionary and last P-Day before leave for London! I cannot tell you how excited I am.  "Sister Scooter" they call me. I am famous at the MTC. As I ride around on my scooter missionaries will hoot and holler ; ) It has given me some great missionary/service opportunities actually. Today, as I was on my way to the temple someone asked about my foot. I told them the wild story and asked about them. Long story short, we explained a little bit about what missionaries do and told them about the gospel and briefly taught the first lesson. We told them they could meet with other missionaries and they said they would love that! First lesson

Hello everyone. I hope y'all had a fabulous week!! Are you enjoying the snow? I am. The mountains are so beautiful when the sun shines on the snow. As I watch the snowflakes float slowly down, dancing in the air, I am reminded of how much our Heavenly Father loves us and how wonderful and beautiful his creations are. Ok, enough about the snow, not let's get to the scooter.... This week went by soooooo fast and it has been an amazing wild ride. On Tuesday I got a scooter!! Funny story, I was running down some stairs, landed on my heel wrong and bruised my bone. We went to check it out and I have a "Serious Bone Contusion" which basically means my bone is bruised and the tissue around it is sore and swollen. The Doc said that if I stay off of it I should be doing well enough to leave for London on schedule! Please, please pray that I will have a miraculous recovery. 🙏🙏 In the meantime I get to ride a scooter everywhere!! Pictures down below;) My district is leav

Forever & Always a Missionary

Hello all you wonderful people! First week and I never want to leave. The MTC has been an amazing learning experience. Everything we do, everything we learn and everything we teach is centered on our Savior Jesus Christ and bringing others to come into Him. Times are exciting and sometimes I can't believe I'm really a missionary but I know that Christ is walking beside me every step of the way. Companion! I have the cutest and the sweetest of all companions❤ Her name is Sister Fuaset. She is serving in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Mission, I love her to death. She is my partner in prime and there for me when I need a best friend. Together we love others, laugh at our mistakes and work to better understand the gospel. She has a happy and positive attitude and her testimony of Christ and love for people inspires me to be better. I love my district! they are all fantastic and are some of the strongest people I've have ever met. There are 6 Elders and 6 Sisters, none o
